Staff collaborates with Broward County, the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact, and other partners. Attend workshops and conferences to discuss and support regional and national goals.

The City will support efforts by the County, State, and Federal government to take actions which would enhance the resiliency and sustainability of Hollywood. These may include but are not limited to:

    1. Supporting the Regional Climate Action Plan and legislative priorities of the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact.
    2. Supporting County efforts to amend the State constitution to enable 3rd party power purchase agreements.
    3. Support County and Regional advocacy for climate change action and legislation at the state and federal level.
    4. Support the County’s partnerships with federal agencies to provide technical and logistic support for regional modeling, scenario planning, vulnerability assessments, and adaptation strategies.
    5. Support the County’s efforts to obtain better regional data to inform long term resiliency planning.
