Community Development (CD) currently does not provide this service. However, the Division will consider including information on energy efficient housing in future fair housing workshops.

Description

Pass an ordinance requiring residential building efficiency disclosure at point of sale or rental. Offer technical assistance to home owners and building managers on the disclosure requirements and audits necessary.

The City's Community Development Division (CD) does not do this. CD follows HUD standards for renewable energy and green construction for projects that meet national objectives. Those three objectives are identified as: benefiting low- and moderate-income persons; preventing or eliminating slums or blight; and meeting urgent needs.

The City’s Current Housing Program Policies with Community Development program policies, all of which center around the national objectives, states that any and all new construction and major renovations funded under the Programs set forth in these policies, shall comply with the requirements set forth in any applicable rules, regulations or ordinances relating to these Green Building Practices.
