The 12 implementation strategies have and continue to guide PRCA's direction toward the centennial celebration. The department became re-accreditted in September of 2022, completed numerous city-wide capital improvements, implemented a new recreation management software system that will increase marketing and customer service, and are an integral part of the City's centennial celebration plans.

Description

The 2025 Centennial Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department System Master Plan (PRSMP) is a comprehensive plan to help guide the development and maintenance of parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services for the next five to ten years. This PRSMP was developed over two years with input from over 800 residents and stakeholders. The process included a preliminary implementation framework, existing conditions analysis, needs and priorities assessment, visioning, implementation strategy, and a final master plan. The PRSMP incorporates a strategic action plan (SAP) of incremental strategies that will be implemented over the next three years to provide a higher level of service, quality, and equity for all city residents leading up to the 2025 centennial celebration.
